To extend aid
Provincial Farmers' Union in recent months has received goods from other provinces. There were days when food trucks arrived very early in the morning, workers of the union thus got up early, picked up and unloaded dozens of tons of goods to be transported to people in the whole province at the earliest possible time. All staff rolls up their sleeves and engaged in the work.
It was not quite seven o'clock in the morning, almost officers of the Farmers' Union were present at the headquarter of Provincial Labor Confederation to unload the shipment of 25 tons of rice then to distribute to small trucks and transport to localities in the province. Although everyone was tired and sweaty, they smiled brightly as finishing the work. During the recent outbreak, Provincial Farmers' Union organized a peak period to aid needy people, with the aim of supporting people in the province to minimize negative effects of the disease, recover production and business, and care for people's lives, health and safety.
Do Ngoc Huy, Chairman of the Provincial Farmers' Union, said: "Not only supporting residents in pandemic-hit areas in districts, towns and cities, Farmers' Unions at all levels in the province also helped farmers in consuming agricultural products. Due to the recent Covid-19 wave, the supply chain of goods was disrupted due to social distancing, many farmers had problems in consuming agricultural products. To connect agricultural products and overcome the pandemic together, the Provincial Farmers' Union implemented many flexible solutions to assist the consumption of agricultural products for farmers inside and outside the province. In green zones of the province, farmers' unions also encouraged farmers to develop economic production in the "new normal" period. Non-profit meaningful trucks of goods have lessened people's difficulties of the Covid-19.
