The 2024 Trade Promotion Fair for Collective Economic Sector and Cooperatives in the Southern Region has opened at Dam Sen Cultural Park in Ho Chi Minh City. The fair featured 180 booths that focused on vegetables, fruits, processed agricultural products, nutritional items, and organic foods; products that are local, regional, and traditional craft village specialties; machinery, equipment, materials; plant varieties, aquatic products serving production for the cooperative sector; industrial products - handicrafts, garments, consumer goods etc. all ensuring VietGAP, GlobalGAP, food hygiene and safety standards; OCOP products. The fair is designed to assist cooperative unions and cooperatives in sharing opportunities to engage with the market. Its goals include fostering business cooperation, promoting trade, developing products and goods, establishing direct connections with businesses and distributors, and facilitating investment in the production and consumption of products and goods. The fair also contributes to developing the image and brands of the Vietnam Cooperative Alliance, enhancing the position and role of the collective economy in the socialist-oriented market economy and international integration.
