Through its trade promotion program, provincial Department of Industry and Trade (DoIT) has made favorable conditions for businesses to take part in many trade fairs and exhibitions, helping them promote their trademarks, expand their markets, stabilize their production-trading, improve the competitive ability of their products and create jobs with stable income for laborers.

   

The program of “Bringing Vietnamese goods to countryside” has helped businesses expand their domestic market

Particularly, between 2009 and 2010, provincial DoIT supported businesses to participate in 20 trade fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad. It also cooperated with the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the HCM City Center for Investment and Trade Promotion Center…to organize some classes and workshops on the issues of integration, product trademark, business trademark, e-business…for businesses.

 

Also thanks to its trade promotion work well done, the province has maintained and developed a lot of traditional handicraft industries. Many new industries have also been formed and replicated…

 

Businesses’ satisfaction

 

In the point of view of businesses, implementing trade promotion by participating in trade fairs and exhibitions is the most quickly product marketing way.

 

Chief of provincial Lacquer-Sculpture Association Thai Kim Dien said that the province’s trade promotion program has helped businesses attend many trade fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad, contributing to enhancing their business efficiency…

 

Whilst, Nguyen Thi Hong Van, Director of Dai Hong Phat Private Enterprise said that participating in trade fairs and exhibitions is the effective product marketing channel, helping businesses expand their markets. This has also helped businesses share mutual experience and catch up with the market trend for production-trading strategies suitable to each period and customers’ taste.

 

Vice-Chairman of provincial Porcelain Association Nguyen Tien Thanh also had the same point of view with Mrs.Van. He added that the export market is the strong point of porcelain businesses, but some have recently moved towards the domestic market and obtained good result. In 2011, provincial DoIT’s Trade Promotion-Economic Information Center will further support businesses to attend prestigious trade fairs and exhibitions at home and abroad, helping them promote their trademarks, expand their markets as well as improving their production and competitive ability…
