Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks to accompany workers in the epidemic

Early January 16, Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks organized a meeting to sum up its operations in 2021.

In 2021, before the severe impacts of the COVID-19 epidemic on jobs, income and life of union members and workers, the Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks promptly helped 14,831 infected and exposed employees with the amount of VND 35.7 billion; 32 deceased infected workers with the amount of VND 160 million; along with that, gifts were given to 540 workers in the lockdown and quarantine areas with extremely difficult circumstances with the amount of VND 200 million.

Besides, the Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks has helped to improve the quality of shift meals for 20,785 employees working by the "3 on the spot" solution to enjoy with the amount of VND 20 billion 785 million; 10,500 essential food gifts were given to workers in hostels with a total value of VND 2.1 billion; a security support package of 32,000 parts worth VND 6.4 billion was also deployed. Regarding Party development, last year the Trade Union Branch of Binh Duong Industrial Parks admitted 10 new party members, achieving 100% of the year plan.

In 2022, the Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks will focus on directing the grassroots trade unions to hold the congresses at the end of their terms leading to the 5th Trade Union Congress of Binh Duong Industrial Parks for the 2023-2028 term with focused resources on taking care of the Lunar New Year for union members and employees under the motto of "all union members and employees to have Tet."

At the conference, the provincial Trade Union presented emulation flags to 6 collectives and awarded certificates of merit to 67 collectives and 217 individuals with outstanding achievements in the movement of emulating good labor and building the Trade Union organization in 2021. Trade Union of Binh Duong Industrial Parks awarded certificates of merit to 211 collectives and 983 individuals with excellent achievements in Trade Union activities in 2021.
