Traffic accidents reduced by 57% in July

According to the report of Binh Duong provincial Traffic Safety Board, from June 15 to July 14, the whole province had 29 traffic accidents, decreasing by 39 cases, equivalent to 57.3%; 9 people were killed which was more than 67%;  the number of injured people also decreased by more than 64% compared to the previous month. According to statistics, the leading localities in traffic accidents in the past month were Thuan An city, Di An city and Thu Dau Mot city. Also during this time, by patrol and control, the functional forces detected more than 4,700 cases of violations of traffic safety and urban order, thereby sanctioning 4,528 cases with a total amount of more than VND6  billions.

According to the assessment, the reason why the number of traffic accidents during this time has decreased was due to the strict implementation of regulations on Covid-19 prevention and control as well as regulations on social distancing, traffic flows and accidents have been reduced.
