Traffic regulated at key intersections

Mr. Nguyen Van Danh, Deputy Chairman of Binh Duong provincial People's Committee has just signed a decision on the deployment of traffic control and regulation at intersections with high traffic density in the province.

Traffic police of Thu Dau Mot city regulates and prevents congestion at the intersection of My Phuoc - Tan Van - Phu Loi streets.

Accordingly, in order to strengthen coordination in organizing, patrolling and regulating traffic at rush hours at intersections with high traffic density in the area, the provincial People's Committee assigned the provincial Police, Department of Transportation, People's Committees of cities of Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An and People's Committee of Tan Uyen town are responsible for arranging functional forces to be on duty and regulate traffic at peak hours from 6:00 to 8:00 and from 16:30 to 18:30 at 23 intersections with high traffic density from May 2022. The provincial Police, the Department of Transportation, the People's Committees of the cities of Thu Dau Mot, Thuan An, Di An and the People's Committee of Ben Cat town organize patrol forces, monitor through cameras, and closely monitor the situation of traffic at intersections to promptly assign and arrange regulatory forces in case of traffic jams at the remaining 20 intersections.

The provincial People's Committee also requested the People's Committees of Thu Dau Mot city and Thuan An city to arrange regular patrols on heavy rains and high tides that could cause traffic jams on National Highway 13 of the section through Thu Dau Mot city and Thuan An city such as Suoi Cat area, Ong Bo bridge intersection area, Lotte Supermarket etc.; vehicles in traffic at adjacent intersections of National Highway 13 (such as Phu Van intersection, An Son intersection...) must be promptly regulated and guided so as not to cause serious traffic jams on National Highway 13 and other routes in the region.

When there is a risk of traffic jams such as accidents and unexpected traffic incidents, People's Committees of districts, towns and cities are responsible for directing the forces of communes, wards, townships or teams to conduct incident handling activities urgently to support and regulate traffic to prevent congestion and ensure safe and smooth traffic before the competent forces come to handle the situation according to their competence.
