Transformation, relocation for sustainable development

Update: 01-03-2023 | 10:58:49

After 26 years of construction and development, Binh Duong today has basically become an industrial province, a model in the process of industrialization and modernization of the country. And, in order to become a modern industrial center of the country, Binh Duong is currently trying to implement many solutions, including the policy of converting functions, relocating production facilities, enterprises into concentrated clusters, industrial parks.

Currently, Binh Duong has about 71% of production facilities and enterprises out of the total number of industrial production establishments that need to convert their functions and move into concentrated clusters and industrial zones. These establishments and enterprises are mainly located in the southern region of the province such as Thu Dau Mot City, Di An City, Thuan An City, Ben Cat Town, and Tan Uyen Town.  It can be said that the conversion of functions, relocation of production facilities and enterprises in the south to northern clusters and industrial zones is a very right policy, derived from practical and meet the development requirements of the province in the new period, the period of growth model innovation, green, inclusive, smart and sustainable growth following the trend of the industrial revolution 4.0.

In fact, more than 26 years of promoting industrialization and modernization, along with breakthrough achievements, Binh Duong is now also facing challenges posed by the fast growth. That is environmental pollution, pressure on technical infrastructure, urban space, population density... in the southern areas of the province. Therefore, the relocation and conversion of production facilities in this area will help the province to rearrange and expand the development space, overcome limitations and exploit the potential to serve development goals of the province in the new period.

In the process of transformation, relocation will encounter difficulties, causing impacts on production facilities and enterprises. However, the common interests and private interests in this policy are very harmonious. Once the pressure is released, a new space opens, both localities and businesses have the conditions to develop quality, apply high technology in management, production and business in association with environmental protection; together with green, smart and sustainable growth...
