"Tree planting festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho" launched across province

Early May 19, provincial Police Agency’s Party Committee and directorate held a ceremony to launch the “Tree planting festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho” on the occasion of the 134th birthday anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890- May 19, 2024).

Speaking at the ceremony, Colonel Nguyen Van Dut, Deputy Director of provincial Police Agency affirmed that the organization of the Tree Planting Festival has become an annual activity, showing the proactive spirit and responsibility of officers, soldiers, Youth Union members and people in protecting the environment and fighting the effects of climate change.

On this occasion, provincial Police Agency mobilized all officers and soldiers to enthusiastically participate in planting trees, contributing to building a clean, beautiful, safe and green environment agencies and units. In addition to planting trees, they need to proactively prevent and effectively fight against all types of environmental crimes, preventing deforestation and illegal forest exploitation…

*On the same day, Thu Dau Mot city planted and tended trees in response to the “Tree planting festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho”. Accordingly, leaders of Thu Dau Mot city and Youth Union members participated in planting nearly 100 ornamental areca trees in the premises of the city’s Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee. The campus of the city’s Party Committee, People's Council and People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot city is also a place with many trees, including 53 hundred-year-old ones that have been recognized by Vietnam Association For Conservation Of Nature And Environment as "Vietnam Heritage Tree".

*Also on the morning of May 19, Thu Dau Mot city’s culture - information - sports sector launched the “Tree planting festival in eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho” at Thu Dau Mot park.

The program was associated with the development of urban greenery projects in the city, thereby encouraging the local people from all strata to actively participate in planting trees at their localities and units, with the slogan of "Every person plants trees, every family plants trees". After the launching ceremony, delegates, officials and employees of the sector participated in planting 100 trees in Thu Dau Mot Park.

*Thu Dau Mot city’s Youth Union Standing Committee also organized a program "giving green trees" at Thu Dau Mot Traditional House.

At the event, the city’s Youth Union donated more than 500 different types of trees to the local Youth Union members and people, thereby launching and calling on them with their specific actions to participate in planting, tending and protecting trees, actively participating in protecting the ecological environment, contributing to raising awareness of environmental protection, protecting the local sustainable and civilized development.
