Tightening unity

More than 100 households in quarter 3 participated eagerly in the national great unity festival. Everyone felt very happy because their quarter was chosen as a typical locality for the festival. Many local residents said that over the past time the quarter people always unite to uphold solidarity and excel the Party and State’s instruction, policies and laws in a bid to build a stable economic life.

Nguyen Hong Chien, a typical cultural household in this quarter said that the local residents have always united and excelled contents of the mobilization of “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas”, especially the movement of crime denouncement. Chien’s family alone contributed to arrest 6 robbers in the quarter.

Meanwhile, Tong Van Trum, the local resident shared “Over the past time, thanks to the quarter mobilization board’s help, I enjoyed a VND20mil loan to invest in producing piggy banks, resulting in escaping poverty. I think that solidarity in the quarter should be promoted to help together escape poverty”.

Tran Van Tuoi, head of the quarter 3 mobilization board said that the quarter now has 367 households with 12,317 residents, 10,777 of whom are residing temporarily. The entire quarter has 346 lodging homes with 4,151 rooms. Over the past time, the quarter mobilization board has focused on mobilizing local people, especially lodging house proprietors, to excel urban and civilized lifestyle, to denounce and fight against crimes.

In the past year, the quarter mobilization board in cooperation with functional agencies held courses on legal dissemination and tricks of crimes to help local residents fight and denounce crimes; excelled 5 contents of the mobilization of “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas”.

In 2013, the quarter has considered and offered preferential loans for local residents to stabilize their life. The quarter management board has mobilized people to excel urban and civilized lifestyle and regulations of set out by the quarter management board, build a cultural life, keep and promote the national cultural identities. Also this year, the quarter has 281 families winning the title of “cultural family”, 19 of which win the title for 3 consecutive years.

Order and security maintenance

One of contents focused by many households in the national great unity festival is to uphold solidarity and crime control in the locality. In the first 10 months of this year, local residents offered 67 information sources, 42 of which were valued ones and denounced 2 illegal narcotic transport cases and many other stealing cases.

Tran Thi My Dung, vice secretary of the quarter 3 party committee said that the whole politic system in this quarter has always excelled contents of the mobilization of “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas” and often launched the movement of “All people protect the national defense and security”, excelled criteria of cultural lodging houses to prevent disorder and environmental pollution.

Addressing the festival, Le Thanh Cung noted that all level authorities should pay much attention to dissemination work to mobilize local people to excel the movement of “All people protect the national defense and security”, to control crimes in the final months of this year. For the quarter 3 alone, the local residents should pay attention to order and security because the quarter has 246 lodging houses with 4,000 boarding rooms and more than 10,000 people.

To build a civilized quarter, cadres and party members and people should excel the mobilization of “All people unite to build a cultural life in residential areas”, especially focus on the movement of crime denouncement and control.
