Binh Duong workers’ singing competition is a music playground for workers organized by Provincial Labor Confederation and Provincial Labor Culture Center. Opening from mid-July-2023 until now, the contest has gone through 6 nights of competition; every night is really a workers' festival, really becoming the ideal meeting place after work.

Every competition night, thousands of fans came to directly watch performances, which were also livestreamed on the fan page of Binh Duong Trade Union. Therefore, businesses invested very thoughtfully for their workers and candidates on the stage. Normally, the workers are always busy with work at factories. But when they came to this contest, they seemed to be shining not only by their splendid suits or long dresses but also by their clear and impressive voices. Not only were we impressed with the inspiring performances of the contestants, the enthusiastic cheering of fans was also amazing.
Pham Thi Tuyet Nhung, President of the grassroots Trade Union of Yazaki EDS Co., Ltd (Di An City), said that the company selected 7 performances from the company’s contest to take part in this festival, so the union members were very excited. The performances were given on 4 nights and every night there were many workers coming to cheer up their colleagues very excitedly.
According to Nguyen Thi Ngoc Ha, President of the grassroots Trade Union of Chi Hung Co., Ltd (Tan Uyen City), nearly 30 employees of the company practiced together 10 performances for this contest, in which the most difficult was the choir. But the workers tried to participate in 4 choir performances and this is also the joy of the union workers. Along with their work ability in company, through this contest, workers will know their own talent in movements such as sports festivals and art contests like this.
Fun like a guild
The image of fans cheering for their colleagues of Chi Hung Co., Ltd., Yazaki EDS Co., Ltd. or Amon Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Bau Bang district) etc. made the whole hall so warm and exciting. Touched by the love of fans, Tra My (model office department of Chi Hung Co., Ltd.) said that the past few weeks of practice to participate in this contest was quite hard, but when singing on stage, receiving the support of the Board of Directors and union members of the company, so their emotions were more intense and the performance was more confident.
As for Phan Thi Thuy Linh (Amon Vietnam Co., Ltd), the contest brought her family a large joy. The whole family cheered for her in the chorus competition, enjoyed and cheered for other performances. Beng energized, Ms. Linh and two colleagues with the dance team left many beautiful impressions on the sixth night of the competition with their performance “Hồn quê” (Country soul).
According to Luu The Thuan, Head of Propagation and Education Department of Provincial Labor Confederation, Director of the Provincial Labor Culture Center, Head of the contest’s Organizing Committee, the 2023 Binh Duong workers’ singing contest has been gone on over 6 weeks, the competition was very exciting. The sixth contest night attracted a large number of workers coming to enjoy and cheer for 30 impressive performances. With the preparations and investment of 14 units, performances were diverse, such as: solo, duet, trio, group, “vọng cổ”... Many units also staged beautiful background dances.
On this occasion, the Organizing Committee awarded prizes to 9 best performances and 3 most enthusiastic fans awards on the fifth night of the competition, gave gifts and support "Strengthening workers' children going to school" of the sponsors to Nguyen Van Quang (who has a difficult situation, is working at Triumph International Vietnam Co., Ltd. (Di An City), gave gifts to two families of workers, who came directly to cheered enthusiastically for the competition. In addition, the Organizing Committee also awarded prizes to the audience with good comments when watching the livestream of Binh Duong Trade Union.
The contest had nearly 400 performances from more than 200 grassroots trade unions belonging to Labor Confederations of districts, towns and cities, as well as industry unions and trade unions of industrial zones in the province. The contest took place from July 16 and lasted until October 2023. Each contest night takes place on Sunday evening with 30 performances at Provincial Labor Culture Center.
