According to the Government’s Decree No. 158/2013/ND-CP, violations of functional food advertising will be punished, namely, fine VND5 – 10mln for not referring clearly to recommendations like “this product is not a medication and does not have medical properties of medications”, etc. as advertising on TV and newspapers; fine VND10 – 15mln for advertising not including name, additives, main and side efficacies of the product, name and address of organizations, individuals bringing out the product to market; fine VND20 – 30mln for advertising causing misunderstanding of having medical properties.In addition, advertising of milk and nutritional products for children but without product’s name, name and address of organizations, individuals bringing out the product to market and so on will be fined VND15 – 20mln.Reported by T.Huynh – Translated by Ngoc Huynh
