After 3 years of implementing the campaign to study and follow late President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and lifestyle, Thuan An city’s Women's Union has built and deployed good models, contributing to helping many women and children surmount difficulties...

According to Vo Thi Thu Thuy, Chairwoman of Thuan An city Women's Union, the social work and charity models implemented by the Standing Board of Thuan An city’s Women's Union have received  enthusiastic support from members and women.

Particularly, the association promoted propaganda and mobilized officials, members and women to actively implement the emulation movement of "Building Vietnamese women in the new era" in association with studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's thought, morality and life style; implementing the campaign of "Building families of 5 no-s, 3 clean-s" and the movement of "Binh Duong’s women have health, knowledge, creativity and responsibility” launched the Central Committee of Vietnam Women’s Association and it, contributing to cultivating Vietnamese family values, training the 4 moral qualities of Vietnamese women "Self-confidence, self-respect, loyalty, responsibility". Meanwhile, the local Women’s Union branches promoted the emulation movement of "Thuan An women behaving civilly - Living with gratitude" in association with the implementation of the project of "Building a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle" in the period of 2022-2025 in the city.

The city also implemented many social charity models, namely “Sharing love”, “Giving health insurance cards for poor women”, “Zero-dong supermarket”, “Beloved piggy bank”…Along with the models maintained regularly, the city’s Women’s Union mobilized organizations and individuals to join hands to implement the program of "Thuan An women accompanying border women" in 2 communes of Bu Dop district’s Tan Thanh, Tan Tien in Binh Phuoc province. In the period of 2021-2022, the city’s Women’s Union visited and offered gifts to 260 poor households, women and children in the two above communes with about VND 182 million; built a charity house worth VND 100 million for the wife of a martyr in need; donated 400 sets of ao dai to needy women.

As part of activities aimed at needy cases and under the "Godmother" program, Thuan An city’s Women's Union is managing 221 orphans, including 127 orphaned, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Among them, 79 children are suggested to receive support from the Vingroup Charity Fund with the monthly subsidy of 700,000 per person; 29 children are sponsored by provincial Women Entrepreneurs Association with the level of VND1 million per person per month. Kim Oanh Charity Fund sponsors 20 children with the level of VND1 million per person per month for 5 years. There are 9 children receiving support from Vietcombank; 1 child getting support from BIDV with a total amount of VND 20 million. The Central Bank for Social Policies also supports 4 children up to the age of 18. The city’s Women’s Union continues sponsoring 10 orphans, due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Its branches also support 12 children with the level from VND 300,000 to VND3 million. Among them, there are 3 supported until the age of 18.

Vo Thi Thu Thuy added that through the campaign of studying and following late President Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and lifestyle, many typical individuals have appeared in Thuan An city, being honored and replicated by the local Women’s Unions at all levels, contributing to promoting the movement, really entering the lives of women from all strata.

Over the past time, through models, Thuan An city’s Women's Unions at all levels helped more than 10,000 local women,  disadvantaged ones, and children with more than VND 2 billion; built 14 charity houses; repaired 5 houses for needy women; gave livelihood support for 26 sisters to develop home-based business; donated 35 health insurance cards worth more than VND 28 million to disadvantaged women.
