In March – the Youth Month, young people in North Tan Uyen district have actively participated in new-style rural construction activities, affirming their important role in implementing, concretizing a policy on new-style rural construction.

North Tan Uyen is one of the province’s localities with the new-style rural appearance flourishing and changing in the direction of enhancement and model. Therefore, provincial Youth Union Standing Committee has chosen North Tan Uyen district’s Youth Union to organize a ceremony launching "The peak day of voluntary activities to join hands in new-style rural construction” during the Youth Month 2023.

Accordingly, the ceremony took place with exciting and practical activities, including inaugurating a "Lighting up rural road” work on road 33, Cay Chanh hamlet, Tan Dinh commune; establishing a squad of young intellectuals who volunteer to transfer technical advances to youngsters and people in Tan Dinh commune; visiting the local models on “good youth in production-business” and “youth with business startup”. In addition, the district’s Youth Union organized a training program on transferring sci-tech advancements to rural youth and implemented the “One Commune, One Product” (OCOP) program 2023.
Do Ngoc Loi, Secretary of North Tan Uyen district’s Union Youth said: "The peak day of voluntary activities to join hands in new-style rural construction" aims at raising Youth Union officials, members’ awareness of the importance of agricultural production, new-style rural construction in the process of national industrialization and modernization. It also contributes to diversifying support forms for rural youth in economic development while upholding the ability and intelligence of young people in implementing criteria for building new rural areas in the locality".
During the Youth Month, the district’s Youth Union has also carried out a "Lighting up rural road" work installing solar street lights on Tan Thanh 52 route in Tan Thanh town’s quarter 4. Noticeably, the Youth Unions of North Tan Uyen district, provincial Police Agency and Phuoc Hoa Rubber Joint Stock Company have jointly organized a series of activities on new-style rural construction worth VND 100 million with such works as upgrading rural roads, repairing houses of gratitude, planting trees, awarding scholarships to disadvantaged students, providing free medical check-ups and medicine for the poor, organizing a journey on law dissemination...
Construction connection
The activities of the Youth Month in the district have taken place in 10 communes and townships and attracted a large number of Youth Union members. Specifically, Hieu Liem commune’s Youth Union has coordinated with the Youth Union branches of the district’s agencies bloc and provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Development to organize many activities on new-style rural construction. Accordingly, the units planted 30 trees at the communal health station; planted and tended flowers in front of the gate of the health station.
In March, the young generation of the War Zone D has always paid tribute to their forefathers who fought to protect and build the country and expressed their deep gratitude to the families of war invalids and martyrs, revolutionary contributors while trying their best to study and work together to build new-style rural areas. In that spirit, after planting trees, Hieu Liem communal Youth Union and its units continued organizing a program on providing free medical check-up and medicine for policy beneficiary families, the elderly and elderly alone people. The units also visited and gave gifts for 4 policy beneficiary families, awarded 10 "Green Dream" scholarships to poor-but-excellent students, encouraging them to constantly strive to study and become useful citizens of the country.
Youth Union members from the units also participated in training on sci-tech transfer and visited citrus orchards; hearing introduction about farming models with sci-tech application and farm economic models with high economic efficiency. During the field trips, Youth Union members learned about the time of farming, tending, harvesting products and consumption markets for them. These practical activities helped young people gain more useful knowledge about the models of growing and trading citrus agricultural products and encouraged rural youth to increase production, contributing to building the local new-style rural areas.
