The Party Committee of Dau Tieng district is aiming for focusing on investing into, upgrading and developing the district's transport system in a synchronous direction and at the same time planning the transport infrastructure to sustainably connect the region associated with the development of urban areas in the development of transport infrastructure in 2021-2025 and the following years. The development of the transport system is also one of the priorities in the district's infrastructure investment in order to create a premise and driving force for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development of the locality.
Traffic flow should flow
Over the past years, Dau Tieng district has focused on investing in infrastructure construction and mobilizing resources from all economic sectors to invest in socio-economic infrastructure of the district, especially in public utilities and motivational process, in which the transport system is increasingly focused on with investments. Currently, 100% of district roads and 32% of roads managed by communes have been asphalted and/or cemented with concrete. Besides, the district has well implemented the movement to build rural roads, to expand DT744 road and coordinate in implementing the project of roads and bridges connecting Binh Duong province and Tay Ninh province in order to facilitate trade and contribute to the district's socio-economic development in the future. In addition, now in the district, two large rivers flowing through namely Saigon River and Thi Tinh River are very convenient for developing waterway traffic.

Despite many potentials and advantages and the focus of all its resources on developing transport infrastructure, at present, the transportation system in the district still has many shortcomings and limitations. The main roads of the district such as DT750, DT748, DT749A, and DT749D connecting with Bau Bang district and Ben Cat town, or DT749B road connecting Chon Thanh district in Binh Phuoc province, DT744 road connecting with Cu Chi districts in Ho Chi Minh city and Duong Minh Chau district in Tay Ninh province, etc. have been seriously degraded. Every year, functional branches only maintain, patch, and repair them to serve the travel needs of people without synchronous investment nor creating links in trade and transportation of goods among regions.
According to the district People's Committee, the connection of transport infrastructure of the provincial roads passing through the district and among district roads is not open for many reasons, one of which is the mechanism and policy on traffic control, mobilizing and attracting social resources to invest in the transport infrastructure system still of many difficulties. Investment in inland waterways, river ports, etc. requires large capital resources and long project implementation time. In addition, the site clearance work has been paid much attention by the district, but many difficulties have made some projects behind schedule regarding the construction investment process. On the other hand, the investment preparation is still long as the role of investors and the coordination with sectors and localities have not been synchronized, as also the causes of difficulties for investment and development of the transportation infrastructure in the district.
The open direction for the locality
One of the important goals identified in the 5th Resolution of the district Party Congress of 2020-2025 tenure is to build a synchronous and modern infrastructure associated with the urbanization, especially focusing on investment in connecting transport systems to promote socio-economic development. Accordingly, in the period, the authority in parallel with striving to ensure that 100% of the roads regularly maintained and repaired at district level and 40% of the roads managed by the commune get them asphalted and cemented with concrete. The district will focus on investing in upgrading a number of key traffic projects to enhance connectivity and further facilitate inter-regional circulation and transportation of goods.
In addition, recently, the district People's Committee held a meeting to approve the Draft Plan of the district Party Committee to implement the Program No. 42-CTr/TU dated August 2, 2021 of the Binh Duong provincial Party Committee on focusing on infrastructure development for transport layer in the direction of urbanization and building Binh Duong smart city in 2021-2025 with orientation to 2030 and vision to 2045 in Dau Tieng district. Accordingly, the goal of the district Party Committee's plan is to focus on synchronously investing, upgrading and developing the district's transportation system; at the same time, planning the overall transport infrastructure, inter-regional connection, sustainable and associated with the urban development of Thanh Tuyen, Long Hoa, Minh Hoa and Dau Tieng town, focusing on investing in key traffic roads to meet the requirements of fast and sustainable development in the direction of industrialization and urbanization and ensuring social security, maintaining national defense and security, and contributing to build Dau Tieng district into a satellite town of Binh Duong smart city and Binh Duong innovation zone.
To achieve that goal, Dau Tieng district Party Committee has set out immediate and long-term tasks and solutions to develop transport infrastructure suitable for each specific period. Mr. Nguyen Phuong Linh, Deputy Secretary of the district Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee, said that one of the main tasks and solutions that the district prioritizes for immediate implementation is to focus on reviewing and improving the quality of planning management to develop synchronous and modern transport infrastructure accordingly. At the same time, the district will review and apply mechanisms and policies of the CPV and the State to remove difficulties and obstacles and to attract social resources along with the budget to quickly deploy transport infrastructure projects, creating a clean land fund on both sides of newly formed roads, especially key traffic projects and works, inter-regional connectivity, having a pervasive nature and clearing traffic congestion, creating a major and global breakthrough in the district. In addition to professional and technical tasks and solutions, the district Party Committee also requires to raise awareness and promote the proactive role and responsibility of Party committees, People's Councils, and People's Committees at all levels and heads of agencies, units and investors in the process of resource mobilization, construction investment management, and quality management of traffic works, especially key traffic projects.
Located adjacent to 3 localities of Cu Chi, Ho Chi Minh city, Chon Thanh and Duong Minh Chau, Dau Tieng district has an extremely favorable position to promote socio-economic development association with neighboring regions. Therefore, the completion of the transport infrastructure system in the area not only affects the process of urban, tourism, and high-tech agriculture development but also creates a driving force for socio-economic development of the locality once the transport system is inter-regionally connected. It is also a potential direction that officials and people of Dau Tieng district have long expected.
