Various activities held in response to Workers' Month
In response of the Workers' Month 2025, provincial trade unions at all levels have recently organized numerous sports festivals, creating recreational opportunities for tens of thousands of workers. At the same time, initiatives to honor exemplary workers, care for those who are ill, injured in workplace accidents, or from disadvantaged families, are being actively promoted.
Launching the Workers ‘Month
In Tan Uyen city, the city’s People’s Committee, in coordination with the city’s Labor Union launched the Workers' Month. At the launch ceremony, in order to help ease the burdens of trade unionists and workers with difficult circumstances, the city presented 55 gifts to those facing hardship or affected by labor accidents. Of these, 5 gifts were given by the city to individuals with labor-related disabilities of 31% or more, each including VND 2 million in cash and essential items. The city’s Labor Union also donated 50 gifts to those with lesser injuries or serious illnesses, each worth VND 1 million in cash and a package of necessities.

During the Workers' Month 2025, Tan Uyen city’s Labor Union has continued coordinating with grassroots trade unions to enhance care and benefits for trade unionists and workers. Activities include sightseeing tours, periodic health checks for public employees and workers and the organization of “May Markets” and “Workers' Markets”… Trade union locals in enterprises are also encouraged to negotiate and sign collective labor agreements to improve workers’ rights and interests.
At the event, Ly Ngoc Phong, Vice Chairman of the city’s People’s Committee called on departments, sectors, local authorities and the business community to collaborate closely with trade unions to focus on several key tasks, including continuing promoting emulation movements for excellent and creative workers, encourage technical initiatives to boost productivity and implement meaningful actions to honor workers and exemplary individuals contributing to businesses’ development and the growth of Tan Uyen city.
Affirming the role of workers
Since late April, the Trade Union of Ben Cat city-based Industrial Parks has also launched its Workers' Month campaign, setting out various emulation activities and welfare programs for trade unionists and workers. At the launching event, the organizers commended 30 collectives and 111 individuals for their outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements from 2020 to 2025.
Over the past five years, in Ben Cat city, the promotion and replication of exemplary models and technical initiatives in enterprises have created a widespread and positive impact across various aspects of social life. Trade unions at all levels were further consolidated, standardized and brought into consistent operation. Grassroots trade union officials demonstrated strong professional competence, capabilities and ethical qualities. As a result, more than 500 technical initiatives and practical experience were highly valued by enterprises and widely applied in actual production, generating billions of dong in benefits for businesses. Through emulation movements, 178 individuals received the certificates of merit from provincial People's Committee. The Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also awarded 5 flags of overall excellence and the certificates of merit to 19 collectives and 297 individuals. Provincial Labor Union awarded 26 flags of overall excellence and the certificates of merit to 269 collectives and 745 individuals.
At the launch event, Nguyen Van Thanh, Chairman of Ben Cat Industrial Parks’ Trade Union urged grassroots trade unions to focus on workers’ welfare, wages and job security while minimizing workplace accidents. He also emphasized the importance of addressing workers' spiritual well-being, providing recreational activities after working hours and strengthening the emulation campaign of “Working well, working creatively”…
Focusing on five key content groups
The Workers' Month 2025 with the theme of “Vietnamese Workers leading the way into a new era” is being implemented through five core content groups. They include the “Creative Workers, Confidently Entering the New Era” program; the “May Dialogue” program and “The Party with Workers – Workers with the Party” forum; “Thank You, Workers” program; the “Peak Month for Trade Union Membership Development, Establishment of Grassroots Trade Unions and Introduction of Outstanding Workers for Party Membership; the “Propagandizing and Raising Awareness among Trade Unionists and Workers”.
Ong Thuy Hoang Mai, Vice Chairwoman of provincial Labor Union stated that in order to effectively carry out these initiatives, provincial Labor Union is directing trade unions at all levels to work with businesses and local authorities to implement a variety of programs. Among them, the "Thank You, Workers" program has been held annually with great effectiveness and continued receiving significant attention and enhancement this year. “During the Workers’ Month, trade unions at all levels have coordinated with employers to organize activities that care for, support and show appreciation to workers as well as creating recreational spaces that encourage their long-term commitment to Binh Duong”, said Mrs. Mai.
Encouraging workers to improve their skills According to provincial Labor Union, the “Creative Workers, Confidently Entering the New Era” program is one of the central focuses for the Workers’ Month 2025. As part of this, provincial Labor Union is organizing communication and mobilization campaigns to encourage trade unionists and workers to engage in learning and enhancing their professional qualifications; continuing the emulation movement to improve qualifications, technical skills and promote innovation and the application of modern technologies in production, helping raise labor productivity, work efficiency and business performance. During the Workers’ Month, provincial Labor Union will organize the “2025 Creative Labor Festival”; host competitions for proposing ideas, innovations and technical solutions to improve production processes, save raw materials, energy, time and labor as well as introducing new methods and effective models in modern business management. The festival will also honor and commend workers with outstanding achievements in labor and production, particularly workers with numerous creative contributions and those who excel in competitions for skilled workers... |
