Various gifts given to support students and people in hardship of Dau Tieng district

On May 6, the Red Cross Association of Dau Tieng district organized a program to award scholarships, bicycles, and a VND-0 Market to support students and people in need in the district.

Accordingly, to support disadvantaged students in attending school, the Binh Duong Lottery Company Limited has awarded scholarships to 50 students, each worth 1 million VND; Venerable Thich Tac An, Head of the Committee for Religious Affairs of the Vietnam Buddhist Society in Dau Tieng district, Master of Thai Son Pagoda, has donated 10 bicycles to needy and studious students. Along with that, the Red Cross Association of the district has mobilized units, organizations, volunteer groups to support goods, essential goods to organize the "Zero Dong Market" session to support 150 people in difficult circumstances in the district. Each person going to the market is supported with essential goods valued at 1 million dong per portion. The total cost of organizing the program is 250 million VND.

The program is part of the activities in response to the Humanitarian Month in 2024, celebrating the 70th anniversary of the victory of Dien Bien Phu (May 7, 1954 to May 7, 2024), International Red Cross and Red Crescent Day (May 8), and the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birth (May 19, 1890 to May 19, 2024).
