Early February 27 in Phan Thiet City, Binh Thuan Association of Journalists host a meeting summing up the year 2013 with emulation signing for Dong Nam Bo Region in participation of Deputy Chair of Vietnamese Association of Journalists, Pham Quoc Toan and leaders of associations in Binh Thuan, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Dong Nai, and BaRia Vung Tau.In 2013, the association members have contributed to general cause of journalism with high quality of news, articles, and stories drawing great public attention.They have been promoted with more writing and training. Of the region, about 100 pieces have been submitted to National Journalism Awards and 15 were entitled with prizes.In the year, all-level associations have paid attention in encouraging the “learning and following President Ho Chi Minh moral examples” attaching to implementing 9 ethic regulations of journalists.Addressing the meeting, Deputy Chair of Vietnamese Association of Journalists appreciated the efforts of the association in the region with prominent achievement of Binh Thuan Journalism Award first ever held.Meantime, the Chair affirmed that for the time to come the association shall maintained the achievements made with more prized pieces.At the meeting, representative leaders of the associations in Dong Nam Bo Region signed emulation program for 2014 with agreement to hand over emulation flag to BInh Thuan Association of Journalists while Binh Duong Association of Journalists was chosen as leading association in 2014.Reported by Hong Trinh – Translated by Vi Bao
