Vibrant patriotic emulation movements

Following Uncle Ho’s teaching "Emulation is patriotic, patriots must emulate", in the last 5 years (2011-2015), patriotic emulation movements in the province have grown rapidly and extensively, have been responded enthusiastically by all social strata.

Emulation of economic development

In the field of industrial production, many emulation movements have flourished in the province, for example, “Efficient Labor - Sustainable Development - Successful Integration", "Good labor, Creative labor", “"Improving productivity, quality and reducing product costs", “Training workmanship, competing for excellent worker”, “Promoting technical innovations, improving production efficiency”, “Ensuring labor safety and fire prevention” and so on. These have contributed positively to industrial development, improving production efficiency of enterprises in the province.

In the 2011- 2015 period, continuous endeavors of enterprises, entrepreneurs in the province honorably received titles of Heroic Labor in the renewal period (Binh Duong Production Import Export Corporation), National Emulation Soldier (Nguyen Van Thien, General Director of Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage – Environment Company; Doan Minh Quang, General Director of Thanh Le Import Trading Corporation).

Outstanding enterprises were Becamex IDC, Thanh Le Import Trading Corporation, Binh Duong Production Import Export Corporation, Binh Duong Lottery, Binh Duong Water Supply Sewerage – Environment Company, Dau Tieng Rubber Company, Phuoc Hoa Rubber Company, Minh Long I Pottery Company…

The emulation movement of "Building rural roads – improving urban face” of the province was also early started. Under the motto that the State and people work together, the movement has aroused the overall consensus among all social strata. Many roads were rebuilt to facilitate people’s travelling. Authorities at all levels encouraged people to contribute to the overall development, especially new rural construction. From 2010 to 2014, the province upgraded 115km road of provincial level, 275km road of district level, 1,249km of rural roads with total investment of over VND1,530 billion. Leading localities in this movement were Thuan An town, Di An town, Tan Uyen town and TDM City.

In particular, the province has implemented effectively the movement “The whole province jointly build new rural”. By the end of 2014, among 13 selected communes for new rural construction in the 2011-2015, there were 11 completed 19/19 new rural construction criteria; 7 communes completed 14-18 criteria; 12 communes completed 9-13 criteria. One critical factor of the new rural construction movement was the universalization of principles, criteria, contents, resource-mobilizing methods, mechanisms and policies in order for people to realize their role and promote their strengths to construct new rural. Through this movement, many excellent collectives and individuals have emerged, for example, Party, government and people of An Son commune in Thuan An town; Nguyen Thi Kim Uyen and her family in An Son commune, Thuan An town donated 900m2 of land to building rural roads…

Uniting to set up cultural life

The movement "All people unite to build up cultural life" in the province has been developed extensively, created positive changes in society. Currently, the percentage of families meeting cultural standards reaches 95%, the percentage of communes, wards and towns having cultural institutions reaches 37.36%. The movement "All people exercise following uncle Ho” has been positively responded. Facilities, equipment catering for exercising have been invested; the quality of sport activities in the province was heightened and achieved many gold medals at big games.

Besides, the movement "All people protect national security" continued to expanded and gained achievements, evoked the whole people’s strength and the participation of the whole political system in the local security protection. People detected and provided valuable information for public security force, contributing to dismantling big crime groups.

Particularly, Crime Prevention Clubs continued to prove its role in fighting against crimes, preserving peaceful life for the people. Many examples of sacrificing themselves for the community were: Police division of social order crime investigation, Security investigation division, Police division of drugs crime investigation; TDM City public security, Phu Hoa Ward crime prevention club, An Phu ward crime prevention club; Colonel Tran Van Chinh under Di An public security; crime knight Nguyen Thanh Hai, Ngo Thanh Cong, Nguyen Tan Duc...

In addition, many other big emulation movements were: “Farmers compete for good production, good business"; "Women actively learn, work, build up happy family”; “Exemplary veterans”…
