Vietcombank plants 1,000 trees at War Zone D

On March 17, at National Historic Site of War Zone D in Bac Tan Uyen District, five branches of Vietcombank in Bin Duong province coordinated with Provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Provincial Farmers' Union to organized an event named "Tree planting festival - For a green Vietnam".

Nguyen Thai Minh Quang, Director of Vietcombank Binh Duong, on behalf of leaders of Vietcombank branches in the province, said that this program to plant 1,000 trees with the theme "Vietcombank - For a green Vietnam" is part of Vietcombank’s plan to plant 60,000 trees nationwide. This is also a meaningful and practical activity in response to the launching ceremony of "Eternal tree planting festival in gratitude to Uncle Ho" on the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2023) and celebrate the 60th anniversary of Vietcombank (April 1, 1963 - April 1, 2023) receiving the title of Labor Hero; to gradually realize Vietcombank's goal of becoming a green bank, sustainable development, for the community.

Speaking at the launching ceremony, Ho Truc Thanh, Deputy Director of Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, said that planting trees at the National Historic Site of War Zone D contributes to embellishing the relic, remind the young generation always about the merits and sacrifices of heroes and martyrs for the cause of national liberation and reunification.
