Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Binh Duong province contributes to heighten friendship and cooperation relations

Members of Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Binh Duong province visit Cambodia.

Friendship strengthened 

According to Nguyen Huynh, chairman of Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Binh Duong province, in the past term (2009-2014), Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Binh Duong province (mainly relation between Binh Duong and Kratie province) has reached significant activities such as charity and social works helping more tighten friendship and strengthen multi-area cooperation between people of the two provinces.  

One of activities heightened friendship between 2 localities is humanitarian charity work. The association timely offers useful advices for the provincial party committee, People’s Committee to assist families of victims in a capsized boat case in So-long river; help families of victims of Ko-pech bridge collapse in 2010; support US$60,000 for the Kratie province’s people to re-build Kratie market and build 5 kindergarten classrooms at Kratie city and more. Besides, the association holds journeys for veterans who were used to join in battlefields at Kratie province.

Nguyen Thanh Tam said that despite difficult circumstance, people of the two provinces are always side by side and preserve the good friendship.  

Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Binh Duong province also pays much attention to disseminate and grasp the Party and State’s policies to local residents, contributing to enhance political thought for members. Specifically, the association held talk-shows on situations in Cambodia for members, improved efficiency of foreign work in the new period and so on.

Aside from meetings, the association members often write articles about traditional friendship, solidarity and international mission between the two localities.  

Possibly speaking, the association’s activities contribute to spur traditional friendship relation between people of Vietnam and Cambodia in general and Binh Duong and Kratie in particular. 

Building a strong organization 

In the term of 2014-2019, the association set out orientations of well promoting the done achievements, reinforcing and developing organization and renovating contents  and operational forms, grasping opportunities in conformity with new requirements. The motto in the new term includes “initiative, flexibility, creation, efficiency” to heighten friendship and cooperation relation between Vietnam and Cambodia people for peace, national independence, democracy and social advance.

Specifically, the association will focus on key tasks of renovating in both content and operation form; maintaining and reinforcing and expanding and developing traditional friendship relation between Vietnam and Cambodia in conformity with the local and association conditions; actively improving quality of communication and dissemination of external work. Moreover, the association will effectively implement its bridge role to help local enterprises and organizations expand cooperation relations; reinforcing and pushing up cooperation on fields of investment, economy, trade, culture, education and more.  

Simultaneously, the association will accelerate exchange between young generations of the two sides to actively educate them about solidarity, traditional friendship. In order to build a strong organization, the association will reinforce, perfect and renovate contents and forms in conformity with characters of the province and sub-associations, develop members, especially young members to create a manpower for the future.  

Nguyen Huynh affirmed that before challenges and opportunities of new development period, Vietnam-Cambodia Friendship Association of Binh Duong province will strive to reinforce and develop traditional relation between Vietnam and Cambodia, contributing to excel instructions and external policies set out the Party for the goal of rich people, strong nation and democratic, equal, civilized society.
