Vietnam, Cuba share experience in climate change

A delegation from the Information and Communication Ministry led by Deputy Minister Do Quy Doan paid a working visit to Cuba to exchange experience in combating climate change. $0 $0$0 $0 $0 $0At a working session with the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), Doan and ICRT President Danylo Sirio shared a common view that communications play a crucial role in raising public awareness on impacts of climate change and measures to cope with it. $0 $0$0 $0 $0Sirio said that his institute frequently broadcasts programmes and documentary films on climate change. $0 $0$0 $0 $0He suggested the two sides need to cooperate in producing programmes on this theme in an effort to help the people understand more about its impacts on their country. $0 $0$0 $0 $0For his part, Doan said that Vietnam has been badly affected by climate change, adding that ICRT’s experience will effectively help Vietnam in raising public awareness in the fight against climate change. $0 $0$0 $0 $0Earlier, the delegation paid a working visit to the Cuban Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (CITMA). $0 $0$0 $0 $0During the visit to Cuba from December 4-8, the delegation made fact-finding tours to the capital city of Havana and the western province of Matanzas.
