Vietnam beat Myanmar 2-0 in the women’s football qualifying round of the London 2012 Olympic Games on March 20 in Taiwan (China).
The Vietnamese squad entered the match excitedly as it trounced Hong Kong (China) 4-0 at their first group match two days earlier.
However, the Vietnamese girls managed to score just two goals in the second half when their competitors were worn-out.
The win helped Vietnam top the group’s rankings.
Vietnam will play Thailand on March 25 and face the host Taiwan in the final match twp days later.
