Vietnam’s best judo artists will compete in the qualifying round for the 2012 London Olympics in Tokyo, Japan from December 11-13.

The country’s two participants include Van Ngoc Tu (48kg category) and Nguyen Thi Lan (57kg category). They are the best Vietnamese judo athletes due to the medals they have won in tournaments in Southeast Asian. 

 

In the second group of rankings issued by the International Judo Federation, Van Ngoc Tu is now placed in second position with 88 points, two less than the first placed-athlete from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. If he defeats this rival, Ngoc Tu will receive a ticket to fly to London for the Olympic Games.
