Vietnam’s vocational school becomes member of European association
Lilama 2 Technical and Technology College, based in Long Thanh District of the southern province of Dong Nai, has been recognized as a member of the Belgium-based association, Le Quang Trung, vice rector of the school announced on November 19.
Accordingly, the school will offer international training programs and certificates which are accepted in several developed countries.
Also, Trung said the Lilama 2 Technical and Technology College has received Vietnamese government’s investment through ODA from German and French governments to make it the “first high-quality international vocational training center” in Vietnam.
The school is also a member of the City and Guilds of London Institute and the American Welding Society, according to the school’s website.
In August, Lilama 2 Technical and Technology College announced to offer two new majors in metro and aviation services in the context of the country building its first-ever metro system in Ho Chi Minh City and planning to construct a massive airport outside the city.
The metro major is intended to yield human resources for the metro system under construction while the aviation major aims to train a skilled workforce for Long Thanh International Airport, which is planned to be built in Long Thanh District at an estimated $18 billion and expected to be operational in 2022.
