Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association in Binh Duong province hold first congress

In the morning of January 21, the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association in Binh Duong province held its first congress of the 2022-2027 tenure. Attending the meeting was Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha, Standing Member of the provincial Party Committee, Deputy Chairman of the provincial People's Committee.

On the basis of the application for the establishment of an association of the provincial Union of Friendship Organizations and the proposal of the Director of Department of Home Affairs, on December 6, 2021, the provincial People's Committee issued a decision permitting the establishment of the Friendship Association of Vietnam – Singapore in Binh Duong province. After the previous internal meeting, the congress elected the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association including 11 members.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Trung, Deputy Head of Binh Duong Industrial Parks Management Board was elected as Chairman. Speaking at the conference, Mr. Nguyen Loc Ha said that the establishment of bilateral friendship associations such as the "Vietnam - Singapore Friendship Association in Binh Duong province" is very meaningful in the new situation and is one of the solutions to expand friendship and international cooperation for the purpose of socio-economic development and foreign investment attraction of the province. He suggested that after the congress, the association should quickly deploy and operate on the basis of sticking to the principles and purposes set out in the association's charter.
