Vietnam to compete at ASEAN U13 football championship

Binh Dinh will represent Vietnam at the ASEAN U13 Football Championship in Thailand from July 15-18.

 

The Vietnamese team will be competing against Indonesia, India, Malaysia and two teams from Thailand, the top four teams advancing to the semi-finals to be played at the Muang Thong Thani Stadium.

 

Binh Dinh, runners-up in the National U13 Football Championship, will leave for Thailand on July 14.

 

Dong Thap and Dong Tam Long An, who represented Vietnam at the tournament (won by Indonesia) last year, failed to qualify for the final rounds.

 

Vietnam won the title for the first time as hosts in 2008.
