This is the seventh month the number of foreign visitors has hit more than 1 million.
During the ten-month period, Vietnam received more than 10.473 million foreign tourists, a year-on-year increase of 28.1%, including over 8.8 million visitors travelling by air (up 31%), nearly 1.4 million by land (up 18%) and 200,000 by sea (down 8.1%).
Visitors from Asia rose by 32.8% to nearly 7.9 million and the major markets - China, the Republic of Korea, Japan and Thailand- recorded growth in the number of travelers to Vietnam.
Meanwhile, around 1.5 million foreign tourists came from the EU (up 18.1%) and 671,000 visitors were from America (up 10.4%).
