Vietnam wins silver medal at int’l petanque tournament

The International Petanque Federation (FIPJP) a warded a cup and a silver medal to the Vietnamese team at the world championships in Vientiane, Laos on December 12.
The Vietnamese team, led by head coach and chairman of the Hanoi Petanque Club Dang Xuan Vui, had 5 players including Vu Thi Thu, who won a gold medal at the SEA Games and a bronze medal at the 2009 Asian Championships.
The title went to France while Thailand came third.
