Speaking at the event, Ms. Hoang Thi Quynh Luu, spouse of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia, said the exchange aims to introduce the beauty of the land and people of Vietnam, the richness and diversity of Vietnamese culture, as well as the unique traditional products of the nation such as handicraft and cuisine.

She hopes the Cultural Exchange Forum will contribute to further enhancing understanding and solidarity among women in particular and people in ASEAN countries in general, as well as contribute to building a peaceful, prosperous and sustainable ASEAN community.

At the exchange, the attendees were impressed with handicrafts such as ceramic vase pots, lacquer paintings and embroidery products, which demonstrate the precision of Vietnamese artisans. Particularly, the visitors enjoyed “Pho” (noodle soup) and “nem” (fried meat roll) prepared by the Vietnamese Women Association in Malaysia.

Minister Counsellor Le Thi Hoang Cuc said the exchange was one of the cultural diplomacy activities that the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia attached special importance to, and was one of the four important pillars of Vietnamese diplomacy.

She said that in addition to promoting the culture and image of the country and people of Vietnam, the exchange forum among ASEAN women also contributes to tightening friendly relations between ASEAN women in particular and people of ASEAN in General./.
