Vietnamese expatriates in Australia celebrate Tet holiday

Participants included Vietnamese people working and studying in Australia, international friends, and representatives from various Vietnamese agencies.

Addressing the ceremony, Vietnamese Ambassador to Australia Hoang VinhThanh briefed participants on the remarkable socio-economic achievements made by Vietnam and outlined the Government’s plans for the future.

He appreciated the Vietnamese community in Australia for their contributions to the fatherland and hoped that they will continue to strengthen national unity and consolidate the friendship and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Australia.

Attendees enjoyed traditional Vietnamese dishes such as Chung cake (made of sticky rice, green bean and pork), red sticky rice and Spring Rolls for the occasion.
