The robots, mRobo and Disco Robo, were manufactured by Hanoi-based TOSY Robotics Joint Stock Company, the leading Vietnamese manufacturer of robots and high-tech toys. The company has exhibited the robots at the 2013 International CES, an annual event that took place at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada, from January 8 to 11, with about 3,100 exhibitors showing off their latest products and services to about 150,000 attendees. As hi-tech recreational robots, the TOSY robots can perform gestures and movements that are very flexible, gently and subtly, said Ho Vinh Hoang, TOSY general director.TOSY’s mRobo is a real good dancer who showed his dance moves in CES 2013 and proved it by dancing on Gangnam Style. The robots danced to the music coming off from a loud speaker installed on its belly and its perfect dancing performances at the event have brought great pleasure and surprise to viewers. The robots can move smoothly on their specials wheels that will also help them group themselves into pairs easily and harmoniously during their performances. The Inquisitr, a US-based magazine, has published an article in which mRobo has been placed in the top 10 most prominent technological trends in the 2013 CES.The retail price of mRobo is US$199, which is considered to be much lower than that of “machine dancers” on the world market.Tuoitrenews
