Vietnamese star Nguyen Tien Minh top in the Australian Open Grand Prix

During the path to this final event, Tien Minh had enjoyed remarkable records: beat Woo Kyum Kang from the Republic of Korea 2 – 0 in the 1/16 round (21-13, 21 - 15), beat Zulfadli Zulkiffli from Malaysia 2 -0 in the 1/8 round (21-14, 21-7), beat Dong Min Kim from the Republic of Korea 2-0 in the quarter final match (21-12, 21-6), and won Alamsyah Yunus 2 -0 from Indonesia in the semi-final match (21-10, 21-14).

 

In this final match, the world number 6 Tien Minh showed his international experiences in controlling the game by giving decisive and strong swings to the rival. By having this first international title in 2010, Tien Minh will secure his world number 6 seed for at least one month.

 

The Australian Grand Prix is a Formula One race that is part of the annual FIA Formula One World Championship with the total prize of 50,000 USD. The champion will get 5,000 bonus points in ranking list of the Badminton World Federation (BWF).
