The Vietnamese women's volleyball team advanced to the AVC Challenge Cup final after a convincing victory against Australia during the semi-finals at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, the Philippines, on March 28.
During the game, the Vietnamese players displayed a powerful performance, giving their opponents great difficulty in establishing their system.
As a result, Vietnam earned their finals ticket following a 3-0 defeat of Australia (25-21, 25-19, 25-16).
The team will play against Kazakhstan in the championship match, which will take place at 19:00 Manila time on May 29.
Meanwhile, Australia and home team Philippines will compete for bronze in an earlier match, scheduled for 16:00 local time.
The champion will earn the right to compete in the FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cup, which is set to take place from July 4-7, 2024, also in the Philippines, organised by the International Volleyball Federation (FIVB).
