Vietnamese Workers’ Month and Young Workers’ Week to support young workers

May is a month of Vietnamese Workers’ Month and also the 12th Young Workers’ Week of Binh Duong in 2019. This month, Provincial Youth Union will organize activities to support young workers at industrial parks, lodging houses, contributing to improving the material and spiritual life of workers.

Provincial Center for Young Worker and Laborer Support holds a workers’ fair during Young Workers’ Week in 2018.

In order to support workers and laborers, Provincial Youth Union will hold the 5th workers’ festival at Provincial Center for Young Worker and Laborer Support. Tran Bao Lam, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Youth Union, said that at the festival, there were many practical activities for workers, such as selling products with low prices, interviewing and recruiting employees, health counseling, free medical examination and medicine delivery for workers and their children; safe driving instruction, free motorbike maintenance; law counsel on social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance... In addition, Provincial Youth Union will also give funds to support young people from rural areas with extremely difficult circumstances, present dream rooms to workers, present gifts to excellent secretaries and heads of young organizations. In the festival, there will also have a karaoke singing contest for young workers, a talk about emulation movements among workers, and praise good examples...

Apart from the host programs, Provincial Youth Union also directed its subordinate units to implement many other meaningful programs. Accordingly, Youth Union of provincial Enterprises’ bloc will hold a festival and sports festival for workers at My Phuoc Industrial Park (Ben Cat Town) and Binh Duong New City Community Sports Center. In addition, this Youth Union also organized activities, such as: a singing contest for workers of this bloc, the program of lighting up young worker’s dreams, commending and awarding excellent young workers, talks about "Industrial working style - Communication skills”.

On this occasion, Provincial Center for Young Worker and Laborer Support will also actively arrange No. 17 journey of young worker connection "Following the footsteps of heroes". Do Van Phung, Director of Provincial Center for Young Worker and Laborer Support, said: “Young workers participating in this journey will visit the red addresses in the province; visit and give gifts to Vietnamese heroic mothers, policy families and workers’ children in difficult circumstances. On the other hand, the center will also organize exchanges, sharing experiences to create connection, to listen to aspirations of workers at enterprises, promptly encouraging and solving difficulties in work and life".

At young workers’ lodging houses, social housing areas, areas with large number of workers in the province, Provincial Youth Activity Center (directly under Provincial Youth Union) will cooperate with related agencies and youth organizations in Thu Dau Mot City, Thuan An Town, Di An Town, Tan Uyen Town, Ben Cat Town, and owners of lodging houses to organize happy Sunday program, weekend playground, propagation of traffic safety... Youth units at district level were also focus on taking care of worker’s children and workers with activities, such as presenting playgrounds, school supplies, scholarships to schools; health counseling, medical examination, free medicine dispensation to children; at the same time organizing programs of young worker commendation...

* 100% Youth Unions of districts, towns, city, and Enterprises’ bloc have a form to encourage and collaborate with enterprises inside and outside the province to carry out a program of "Basic price sales for young workers".

* 100% Youth Unions of districts, towns, city, Enterprises’ bloc, and two rubber companies organize at least one of the activities: Commending excellent young workers and laborers; young workers’ festival; cultural activities, sports, law counselling, reproductive health consultancy for workers at industrial parks.

* 100% Youth Unions of districts, towns, city, Enterprises’ bloc, and two rubber companies have practical support forms for young workers and their children, such as offering support funds, giving gifts, scholarships, new houses...
