So as to carry out national strategic projects that supply clean water and ensure environment hygiene in rural areas by 2020, the 2011-2015 target program will invest over VND 54,000 billion to upgrade public living standard in rural areas. Accordingly, over VND 21,800 billion is allocated for water supplying project and VND 25,600 billion is for hygienic and environmental projects.

 

The program boosts up investment to upgrade services and enhance public awareness about hygiene and environment protection to change public behaviors, especially in remote areas, costal regions, and draught places or places with contaminated water sources. In the meantime, the program diversifies services to serve the poor and ethnic communities.
