Update: 01-12-2012 | 00:00:00

The information was announced during a November 29 press briefing which launched VACI 2013.

Speaking during the launching ceremony, deputy head of the Government Inspectorate Tran Duc Luong said that the program will be carried out under the title “More transparency, integrity and accountability, less corruption”. “This is also one of the anti-corruption measures that the Government of Vietnam will focus on,” said Mr. Luong.

Four areas that organizers encouraged participants to build initiatives on include building a serving administration, increasing public integrity and officials’ morals, increasing transparency and the right to access information, and increasing accountability.

VACI 2013 organizers stressed that the initiatives must be feasible in reality, and have the ability to be expanded.

VACI was held in 2011 for the first time, with 164 initiatives competing and 34 initiatives receiving implementation assistance./.
