In March, the Youth Month, the month of spring, Binh Duong’s young people have organized trips to bring youth strength to remote border areas and share love with border areas facing many difficulties.
Illuminating love between the army and people
The "Border March" program is organized as an opportunity for young people to show their voluntary spirit towards officers and soldiers who are on duty to protect peace in border areas; pay tribute to their silent contributions to the country and people. Accordingly, provincial Youth Unions at all levels have organized meaningful journeys to tighten the people-army relationship. The Youth Union, Youth Federation branches of provincial Agencies – Enterprises Bloc, with the companionship of other Youth Union branches, organized the 2023 program "Border March" - The journey I love my country”. All aimed at upholding the voluntary spirit of young people in socio-economic development, national defense and security, contributing to tightening the spirit of solidarity between Youth Union members, officials and people living and performing tasks in national border areas”.

In the days of March, in the highlands region, there are still difficult situations, with each wave of cold air. Coming up again, starting the days of youth to celebrate the birthday of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the youth of Thuan An city again went to the highlands in the top part of the country to implement the "March of the border" program. This year, the program was held in Ha Giang province’s Yen Minh district. Here, the delegation gave a total of 550 gifts worth more than VND 220 million for children and households with difficult circumstances. Each gift is worth VND 400,000, including warm blankets, socks, boots, slippers, candy, notebooks/coloring pens… The city’s Youth Union also awarded a work on border energy lamp project by building 8 lamp posts on the way to Thang Mo kindergarten in Yen Minh district’s Thang Mo commune in Ha Giang province, with a total cost of VND 24 million. Nguyen Thanh Luat, Vice-Secretary of Thuan An city’s Youth Union cum Chairman of the city’s Youth Federation said: "The activity of "Border March - Volunteer Spring - Warm clothes for children" has been launched and organized by the youth of Thuan An annually, bringing practical and sustainable effects in association with each locality and unit’s needs. The local Youth Union has focused on implementing the program in residential areas with limited economic conditions; organized volunteer activities to attract a large number of young people and social forces. Hopefully, this year's program will partially share difficulties with children, people and localities in the mountainous region, contributing to motivating children to develop and people to improve their lives with good health and peacefulness.
The activities of the "Border March" program has concretized the movements of "I love my Fatherland", "Sentimental affection towards border and island areas", thereby contributing to educating teenagers and children about the love for national border, seas and islands; the glorious tradition of generations of Vietnamese youth in the cause of national construction and defense; the tradition of "paying debt of gratitude", "good leaves cover the torn ones".
