When the morning just dawns, at the units and farms under the Dau Tieng Rubber Joint Stock Company, workers had just finished their night shift and immediately had hot meals ready to serve. These meals were prepared by the hands of youth union members and trade union members from rubber plantations. Although small, the act has boosted the morale of workers and demonstrated the care and concern for their lives.

Showing care and sharing
At the Long Tan Rubber Plantation, from 3-4 am, the responsible groups were present at the rubber plantation to prepare the ingredients for breakfast, as well as water, tables, and chairs, to serve the workers before they entered the rubber plantation. After nearly 4 hours of preparation, the hot breakfasts and delicious drinks were ready to serve the workers, ensuring they were nutritious and hygienic. Many workers expressed their appreciation for the care shown by the management of the rubber plantation and the organizations involved in organizing this meaningful program. The joy was evident on their faces and smiles as they felt the sharing and concern, temporarily forgetting their fatigue and worries in work and life.
Nguyen Vo Yen Phi, Secretary of the Youth Union of Long Tan Rubber Plantation, said: "To implement this program, the Youth Union and Trade Union have coordinated with the professional department to choose a convenient time for the workers to gather and assign specific tasks to each group. Hopefully, these small actions will not only provide the workers with a delicious meal in a joyful and warm atmosphere but also make them feel the close and affectionate relationship like a family, which is what the program aims to achieve."
Accompanying the workers
Nguyen Minh Dat, Secretary of the Youth Union of Cao su Dau Tieng Joint Stock Company, said that to compensate for the shortfall in production due to bad weather and labor shortages, all the staff and workers at Long Tan Rubber Plantation had agreed to switch from D4 to D3 shifts to maximize production. In that context, understanding the hardships of the workers working at night, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the company held meetings and found ways to accompany the workers in the final production competition of the year.
Initially, the idea was a water bottle model for union members, and then the Youth Union of the company focused on directing the units, depending on the budget, to develop plans and consult with the management of the rubber plantation and the organizations involved in implementing the "Meal with Youth Workers in Production Competition" program for the workers right at the rubber collection stations, where the workers could have breakfast, drink water for free, and take a rest to restore their labor force for the next tasks of the day.
Over time, the program has spread to 3 units, including Long Tan Rubber Plantation, Minh Hoa Rubber Plantation, and Ben Suc Rubber Plantation. In total, the units have served nearly 1,000 free breakfasts and drinks right at the collection stations for workers and security personnel, with a total cost of nearly VND 18.4 million. Each unit has a different menu depending on the budget, including dishes like banh canh, hu tieu, and bun rieu. Some units also provide sweet cakes, savory sticky rice, and drinks. All of these are free and carry the sentiment of those who implement the program. It is expected that the program will continue to spread to the remaining units in the following month.
Nguyen Minh Dat added: "All the staff and workers, including the youth union members, will continue to intensify the final production competition, determined to exceed the assigned production targets. The activities of the Youth Union of the company always focus on the professional tasks. Hopefully, in the future, the model of taking care of the workers will continue to receive attention, support, and mobilization of resources to share, encourage, and inspire the workers in the production competition."
