Well-built infrastructure, a “propulsive force” for investment attraction

Traffic infrastructure with main streets has greatly contributed to creating a “propulsive force” for the local socio-economic development. Favorable traffic system has also made contributions to the success of Binh Duong’s industrial development, especially investment attraction.

According to enterprises, Binh Duong’s investment climate is very favorable with well-built infrastructure connecting with many other provinces and cities. This will facilitate enterprises’ transport of goods. 

The My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway will open new prospects for the local investment attraction

Takashi Nara, Director of Tomoku Vietnam Co.Ltd. that has just been granted investment license by provincial People’s Committee said that after surveying, the company decided to sort out the My Phuoc 3 Industrial Park (IP) to build its paper packaging factory with total investment capital of US$47.6mln. This is the company’s first overseas factory. Along with advantages on policies and human resources, the My Phuoc IP owns a well-built infrastructure system and this is also an important element for the company’s selection for investment.

Also thanks to socialization in the field of infrastructure construction intensified, Binh Duong has so far had a favorable traffic system, contributing to promoting the local industrialization and modernization process. One of the highlights for this socialization is the National highway No.13 or called Binh Duong Avenue. After 12 years of operation, it has contributed to promoting the local investment attraction.

The province’s policy of developing industrial manufacture in the northern districts has also upheld its effectiveness. Ben Cat district where the National highway No.13 passes through has so far witnessed the birth of large-scale and modern Ips, namely My Phuoc and Bau Bang. After 10 years of development, these Ips have absorbed more than 400 FDI and domestic projects with total investment capital of more than US$3.5bln.

KyungBang Vietnam Co.Ltd. under South Korea’s KyungBang Corporation has recently put its automated yarn and fibre manufacturing plant with investment capital for the first phase of US$40mln into operation in the Bau Bang IP. The factory will supply yarn and fibre products to the local garment and textile firms and they will be also exported to many other markets. According to him, Binh Duong has a well-built traffic system and this is one of the reasons that the company has selected the Bau Bang IP for investment.

Apart from the National highway No.13, many inter-provincial streets have contributed to promoting the local industrial manufacture. Ben Cat district where the DT744 passes through has so far developed three Ips, namely Viet Huong 2, An Tay and Rach Bap. They are also attractive to investors, especially since the DT744 has been upgraded. In August, many investment projects were also granted investment licenses in the Rach Bap IP.

Whilst, Ips of Dat Cuoc, South Tan Uyen and many firms have loomed large across Tan Uyen district where the streets DT746, DT747D and DT742 go through, contributing to shifting the local economic structure towards growth of industrial manufacture.

To serve the local socio-economic development in the coming time, Binh Duong has implemented many main streets, including the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway with total investment capital of more than VND3.5trillion. Once completed, the expressway will help Binh Duong become a key gate way for the transport of goods from Central Highlands region, Southeastern provinces to international airport and seaports, according to the investor Becamex IDC.

Together with the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, Becamex IDC has been assigned to implement 3 streets in Tan Uyen, namely DT746, DT747B and DT742. Construction of the three streets with total length of 57km commenced in 2010 with total investment capital of around VND4trillion. Once completed, together with the My Phuoc-Tan Van expressway, they will further awake the potential of new lands, contributing to promoting the local investment attraction. The whole province now has nearly 7,300 km of various streets with good traffic infrastructure, which is one of favorable conditions for the local industrial development.
