There are some local youths gathering together to do charity deeds. They have mobilized support from their friends and relatives and even they have spent their money to contribute to the charity activities.

A 100 member charity group is set up by Nguyen Thanh Hau from the provincial department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs’ Children Division and Ngo Trung Duc from BIDV Binh Duong branch. Hau said that he did not remember when the group was set up and adding that after an escort journey for the HCMC charity delegation in 2008, he and his friends decided to do charity.

Over the past 3 years with 12 charity visits worth over VND500mil, the group’s members has yet to have an official name but they unanimously hold at least 4 charity visits per year.

Joining hands for charity

Aside from granting gift visits, the young people have involved in taking care of sick unlucky people as well as washing for orphans.

Most of them are students and young employees. With an initial hesitance, but witnessing unlucky people’s adversity, the youths have overcome diffidence to take care of mental and sick people comfortably.

Giving help to remote children

Another voluntary group in Thuan An town has dedicated to charity activities. Aside from gift visits to talented disadvantaged students in remote localities, the group’s members paid a gift visit to Dac Lac province’s poor people on April 30. The visit’s cost was from their accumulation by selling keepsakes at fairs and seminars because most of them are poor youths.

Another young group led by Hai from Binh Duong University for Technology and Economics also held a social charity to centers for orphans.

“Witnessing many adversities of unlucky people, we hope to share difficulties with them”, said Hai. The thought and deed show that there are many charity hearts in life.

Tourism development for investment attraction

Tourism development to lure investment is a new deed in Binh Duong. A cheap tour (VND50,000 per ticket) held by Becamex ISC shows a refresh business activity.

Low price tourism

In recent years, Binh Duong has become symbol of success in industrial development for local and foreign friends. The entire province now has 28 industrial parks (IP), luring over 5,000 businesses. Especially, Binh Duong New City has become a highlighted trademark. However, not everybody can understand economic, cultural values as well as Binh Duong people.

Therefore, Becamex ISC just launched a unique tourism form of touring IPs and Binh Duong New City. At 8 a.m, tourists will visit VISIP, My Phuoc 1,2,3 IPs, Dai Dang IP, Bau Bang IP… where gather famous businesses of Orion, Kumho, Colgate Palmolive… After that, they will make a tour to Ecolake urban area in Ben Cat district. Next, they will enjoy infrastructure facilities of Eastern International University, hi-tech area, SIS educational group under development.

Phan My Lan, a Vietnamese American, said “I’m very impressed on the unique tour. I had to seek information on investment in Vietnam via Internet but the tour helped me reach a selection. I’ll come back and do business here”.

Introduction to urge investment

Depending on tourists’ requirements, the tour will have different destinations. For examples, if tourists are Taiwanese people, they will visit Kaiser, Grand Art, Kirin, Acecook companies… If they come from Korea, they will visit Orion, Kumho…

Chung Buu Long, general director of Becamex ISC, said “the Thu Dau Mot town-My Phuoc IP-Binh Duong New City tour initially was for agencies and mass bodies. After that, from real demand, the company has to hold 2 tours per day”.

After 5 months of operation, the tour has so far catered for over 10,000 visitors and won good impression from tourists. The company will expand the tourism model to other districts.

The birth of this tour has contributed to help investors learn about Binh Duong land. The tour’s idea is also in local common orientation of upholding internal force and luring external force for industrialization and modernization.
