Where to visit this Tet?!...
In addition to recreational areas, tourist sites invested by businesses, provincial sectors and departments will organize many amusing places for all people during the 2012 Tet (lunar New Year) holiday.
*Bach Dang flower street
This is the first year Binh Duong will organize the Bach Dang flower street themed “Binh Duong is sparkling with spring color”. This event will take place from Dec.28, 2011 to Jan.5, 2012 of lunar calendar.
*Firework show
In addition to a provincial-level firework show in the Binh Duong new city, districts and towns will hold firework shows at the administrative centers. Many art performances and lion-dragon dances will be also organized on New Year’s Eve.
*Spring flower market
This Tet, the Bach Dang spring flower market will take place from Dec.20 to 29 of lunar calendar with many kinds of flowers, bonsais and ornament trees from gardeners in and out of the province for display and sale.
*Spring flower fair
Provincial Ornamental Creatures Association will kick off a spring flower fair at provincial Museum from Dec.28, 2011 to Jan.6, 2012 of lunar calendar. On display are various bonsais, ornamental stones and strange flowers from artisans in and out of the province. The fair also includes a contest for various ornamental creatures.
*Variety shows welcoming lunar New Year
According to provincial Cultural Center Director, Nguyen Thi Minh Nghia, her center will organize five art performance nights from Dec.29, 2011 to Jan.4, 2012 of lunar calendar with the participation of many singers from HCM city.
*Spring newspaper exhibition
Provincial Department of Culture, Sports & Tourism and provincial Journalists’ Association will jointly hold the Spring Newspaper Exhibition 2012 at provincial Museum from Dec.28, 2011 to Jan.6, 2012 of lunar calendar.
*Fine arts and photography exhibition
Also at provincial Museum, provincial Literature and Art Association, in collaboration with Binh Duong Fine Art School, will organize an exhibition on photography and art works by artists across the province.
Many art performances and sports activities to welcome the lunar New Year 2012 will be also organized across districts and towns.
