To implement many important programs
Understanding the needs of Binh Duong in the trend of developing new smart city, beside the main task of teaching and researching, Eastern International University (EIU) has actively pioneered the implementation of triple helix (State – universities – entrepreneurs).
Over time, the EIU has implemented many important programs, including the training of lecturers, the integration course of "Entrepreneurship" into the training program, investment environment construction for startup space such as business incubators, technology labs. These facilities have been expanded to cater to the needs of faculty, students, start-up members, and others. The need to connect with each other in the field of start-up and solve the problems of the smart city of Binh Duong.

Typically, business incubators enable faculty and students to work on specific projects to help build smart cities. One of the projects tested here brings positive results, which is to study the sensors for the data center of Vietnam Communication and Technology Corporation (VNTT - Binh Duong) to ensure the accuracy and stability of many agencies and enterprises in the locality.
Nguyen Tan Loi, Chairman of EIU's Board of Directors, said that the cooperation between EIU and VNTT not only brought about positive changes in the training of high quality human resources to meet the development needs of enterprises but also a combination to solve problems in technology, management, create new products to contribute to ensure the sustainable development of enterprises. EIU will carry out research, development, product supply as required by VNTT. In the course of cooperation, VNTT will also receive students and lecturers who wish to participate in internships, internships and field studies at VNTT's facilities. The cooperation between EIU and VNTT helps to improve, contributing important role of EIU and VNTT in deploying Binh Duong Smart City Project in the model of triple helix.
To upgrade traffic quality
After the consultation period, under the direction of the provincial People's Committee, Becamex IDC and its investors have researched and developed the design of the Becamex City Center for Trading - Service Center. Roundabout A1 with area of 71,000m2 will be a complex space for transportation, functional works and spaces for community activities. Becamex IDC and the provincial People's Committee are also planning for transport projects linked to logistics and supply chain to attract investors to Binh Duong province. Nguyen Van Hung, General Director of Becamex IDC, said that the enterprises have been prepared to invest here when they see the complete supply chain is sure when conditions for investment decision, the business will find faster. He suggested that the project would create a new value and if it creates a new value there are special solutions that ensure the fast development will surely contribute to the success of the Smart City Scheme.
To help people access smart urban lifestyle, the province has developed many practical policies to improve and develop the bus system. As a result of these policies, the public bus transportation system has developed, the network has covered a wide area, easy access, quality of service has improved and Bus passengers are constantly increasing. Highlighted is the environmentally friendly CNC Kaze Shuttle bus system, which has outstanding advantages in terms of operating schedules and safety. The Transport Department has cooperated with the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) to implement a Park and Ride pilot to reduce traffic jams and limit environmental pollution.
Tran Ba Luan, Director of the Transport Department, said that people with two-wheeled motorbikes can come here to send their cars for free and transfer to buses to study and work. This is one of the tasks that facilitates bus users, in line with the orientation of encouraging people to gradually reduce the use of private means of transport for public transport. This is also one of the tasks in the roadmap to build and develop Binh Duong into a civilized and modern city.
