Will of overcoming difficulties from a poor student

Information about Huynh Trung, who is a former student of Nguyen Hue high school (Phu Giao district), admitted into two universities: HCM Economics Universities (24 points) and HCM Agriculture and Forestry University (22 points), spread around Tan Hiep commune, where he lives. This surprising result bolstered love and admiration of his teachers, friends for the will of overcoming difficulties from this underprivileged student living in rural area.

Shortly after his birth, because of the needy condition, his mother had to leave him to work in HCM City as a home helper. His father was a tailor with a low income just enough for family’s life.
Trung has been missing his mother working so hard in a distant place. Thus he always tells himself to learn well so that his family could change their life. He has kept forgetting himself in learning because of the dream of becoming a businessman. His learning methods are doing all homework, reading all lessons before coming to class and learning regularly in the library. His friends usually shared exercises with him, because Trung could not afford to go to extra classes. Having a computer is always a desire to him, but this is unaffordable. Therefore, he tried to search more learning information during computing hours at school.
While he was learning in secondary school, his father got cancer disease. His family had to borrow money to cure his father. 4 years later, money ran out, his father died because of the serious illness. Although it has been 2 years after his father’s death, it’s heartbreaking whenever referring to his father. Trung said: “Though it was so painful as my father dies, I will continue my learning so that my father can reassure”.
To help his mother, since 2 years ago, he has worked for a Southern seed plant farm in every summer. He gave part of his earnings to grandparents, and spent the rest on school supplies, clothes for the new school year.
Teacher Nguyen Dinh Chi, principal of Nguyen Hue high school, said, the school was so proud of Trung. Despite disadvantaged condition, he has been learning well. He got excellent results in 12 consecutive years, and got an console prize of good literature student at the 9th grade. During 3 years in Nguyen Hue high school, the school helped many things like exemption of contributions, favor in scholarship, free extra classes…
At the present, Trung is living in HCM City with his mother to prepare for his learning at Economics University. “I will find part-time job to diminish my mother’s burden. I will also attempt to study well to have a good job so that I can help my mother and support my over-70-year-old grandparents”, said Trung.
