Women in Binh Duong ready, self-confident to enter new era

In recent years, the "Building the Vietnamese women of the new era" movement, launched by the Vietnam Women's Union, has been enthusiastically embraced by provincial Women's Unions at all levels. Building on the traditional virtues of Vietnamese women, women in Binh Duong continuously strive for self-improvement, knowledge, ethics, health and responsibility, equipping themselves to adapt and thrive in the modern society.

Adapting to modern society

As the country continues developing, women are increasingly affirming their vital role and position in both family and society. The participation of women in leadership and management roles has been steadily rising. In Binh Duong, gender equality efforts have achieved significant progress, strengthening the core role of the Women's Union in protecting the legitimate rights and interests of its members and women across the province.

To adapt to the new era, provincial Women's Unions at all levels have continuously implemented practical action programs. The core values of "health, knowledge, creativity and responsibility" have been integrated into numerous initiatives, leaving a profound impact. These efforts have unleashed the potential, inner strength and creativity of women’s organizations and members across the province. Notably, the 939 Project on women’s startup, along with impactful models, namely “Godmother”, “5 No-s, 3 Clean-s” family in association with  new-style rural and civilized urban development, support programs for disadvantaged women…have all demonstrated the significant contributions of grassroots Women's Union officials.

Provincial Women's Unions at all levels have effectively implemented various programs and activities as planned, thereby focusing on applying information technology and digital transformation in association activities; implementing “Civilized Saturday”; actively supporting women  with difficult circumstances to access services...

Thu Dau Mot city’s Women's Union has launched the movement of "Women's Union branch applying information technology in Women’s Union activities". Under this model, each Women’s Union selects 1 or 2 branches with favorable conditions for digital transformation, transitioning from traditional meetings to digital platforms using software, digital tools and online platforms… The Women’s Union branches are equipped with or provided with support for laptops, presentation devices (projectors, projection screens, televisions, speakers, etc.) to ensure that meetings are exciting, lively, attracting the participation of members and women.

Taking lead in emulation movement

Speaking at the launch ceremony of the "Binh Duong women: Healthy, Knowledgeable, Creative and Responsible" movement and Project No. 02 on mass mobilization in building a cultured and civilized lifestyle, Huynh Thi Thuy Phuong, Pernament Vice-Chairwoman of provincial Women's Union stated that provincial Women's Union was honored by the Vietnam Women's Union Central Committee with the flag for leading the emulation movement in 2024. This is a great honor and pride for Women’s Unions at all levels, officials, members and women across the province.

To maintain and build upon these achievements, provincial Women's Union Standing Committee has launched the 2025 emulation movement. Particularly, provincial Women's Union has launched the emulation movement associated with the theme of "Binh Duong women have health, knowledge, creativity and responsibility, being ready to enter a new era-the era of national growth" among all cadres, members and women with implementation time until September 30, 2025, with 95 projects, tasks and criteria.

Provincial Women's Union has also the Project No. 02 on mass mobilization in building a cultured and civilized lifestyle across the province under the theme of "Binh Duong women take action for a civilized city" among Women’s Unions at all levels, officials, members and women.

Accordingly, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels will implement a project on "91 streets – Binh Duong women taking action for a civilized city". Each Women’s Union branch will establish and maintain at least one designated street, spanning a minimum length of 2 km, based on five key criteria: 100% of households sorting waste and disposing of it on time and in the designated places; active participation of women in activities along the road; a green, clean and beautiful environment; no traffic accidents or social evils occurring on the road and the installation of security cameras.

Mrs. Phuong shared: "It is hope that by the end of this emulation campaign, we will discover and recognize new, outstanding individuals with initiatives and creativity that inspire and spread positive influence within the community and society. This will contribute to helping the province achieve its target of double-digit economic growth, advance science and technology, promote national digital transformation and innovation, effectively implement social welfare policies and improve people’s quality of life…".

Our country is at a pivotal moment, preparing to step into a new era filled with both opportunities and challenges. Joining hands with the entire Party, people and armed forces, Vietnamese women in general and Binh Duong women in particular must continue striving for learning, constantly enhancing their awareness of roles and responsibilities, improving their political knowledge, professional expertise and vocational skills. They should rise to master science and technology, affirm their courage and take on leadership roles in various fields.

Stepping into the new era, women in Binh Duong are continuously promoting the spirit of patriotic emulation, proactively enhancing digital skills and applying information technology to increase competitiveness in the context of rapid digital transformation. They are also actively equipping themselves with knowledge in technology, management, business and international integration, confidently asserting their position in all fields...
