Dau Tieng district’s Women’s Unions at all levels have offered help to the local women in economic development and poverty reduction, step by step improving the quality of their life and their role in family and society in recent years.

In 2013 alone, the district’s Women’s Unions at all levels mobilized 1,102 well-off women to give support of more than VND3.1bln for 1,443 needy ones; disbursed more than VND17bln in loan from many different sources for 2,010 women.

The district also saw the development of many effective models from the above support, including  the swallow breeding model of Nguyen Thi Tuat-Head of Tan Phu hamlet’s Women’s Union in Minh Tan commune, the mushroom-growing model of Nguyen Thi Minh Tan in Long Hoa commune, the girdle cake-making model of Tran Thi Gai in Thanh An commune’s Can Giang hamlet, the group of female farmstead owners in Minh Thanh commune…

In the coming time, the district’s Women’s Unions at all levels will further offer help to women in economic development and poverty reduction; create favorable conditions for women to get access to all sources, bringing into full play their role and strength in economic development…
