Women in Phu Giao mobilizes over VND5.8bln to help each other in economic development

Phu Giao district’s Women’s Union last year mobilized members to help each other in economic development with more than VND5.8bln.

Accordingly, the district’s Women’s Unions at all levels mobilized 2,644 well-off women to offer help of working days, agricultural materials, nurslings…worth nearly VND1.6bln to 570 needy ones. There were also 1,116 women borrowing over VND3.7bln from loan-rotating funds; 117 with more than VND368mln from credit funds; 85 with VND182mln from the “Saving for Poor Women” fund…

The district’s Women’s Union also teamed up with the local branch of the Bank for Social Policies to consider and provide loans for poor women to develop home based business with total outstanding loan as of late 2014 amounting to VND45.5bln.
