Women’s role, position improved

Over the past time, Binh Duong promulgated a lot of policies, creating favorable conditions for women to actively get involved in all aspects, thereby helping them assert themselves, actively improve their qualification and morality. This was one of the province’s major results after the ten-year implementation of the Politburo’s No.11/NQ-TW on women task in the period of intensified national industrialization and modernization.

After 10 years of realizing the Politburo’s Resolution 11/NQ-TW on women task in the period of intensified national industrialization and modernization, authorities at all levels, sectors and mass organizations of the province reached positive changes in leadership over women task. There was a deeper awareness of the importance of women task in the new period. Contributions by women also received higher appreciation.

Particularly, provincial Women’s Unions at all levels paid special attachment to training on women task and gender equality to raise women’s awareness of all aspects; coordinated with relevant agencies to build “community reliable addresses”, “Women with law”, “Happy family” clubs…

Under provincial Party Committee’s Program on “Improving the quality of human resources in the period of 2011-2015”, the province’s women task received the timely attention and instruction of authorities at all levels and was concretized by policies. Provincial Women’s Unions at all levels also gave priority to training female cadres.

Phan Thi Ngoc Loi, Chairwoman of North Tan Uyen district’s Women’s Union said that so far, cadres of district-level Women’s Union have been qualified. For the communal level, there are 100% of chairpersons and vice-chairpersons graduating from colleges and universities; 100% of chairpersons with political training at intermediate level. The district’s Women’s Union also recommended outstanding women to the Communist Party of Vietnam, contributing to increasing the local rate of female Party members. Since 2014, the whole district has admitted additional 183 female Party members or 45% of total.

Nguyen Thi Thu Hong, Chairwoman of provincial Women’s Union said that along with major tasks, the local Women’s Union mobilized and supported women to build well-off, equal, advanced and happy families. Practical models also helped the local women affirm their role and position in family and society.

Possibly speaking, after 10-year implementation of the Politburo’s Resolution No.11-NQ/TU under the leadership of Party organizations at all levels together with the efforts by officials and members of Women’s Unions at all levels of the province, the role and position of the local women were improved, meeting criteria of Vietnamese women in the new period. The province’s female cadres also obtained an increase in both quality and quantity at requirements of the period of accelerated industrialization and modernization, contributing to building a civilized and prosperous Binh Duong.
