On June 16, TBC/BALL Vietnam Co.Ltd. held a groundbreaking ceremony for the beer and beverage can-making factory in the expanded Vietnam-Singapore Industrial Park II (VSIP II).
The factory is built on an 8 ha area with total investment capital of VND975bln (equivalent to US$50mln). It is expected to be put in operation in 2012 with capacity of 850 million beer and beverage cans per year.
Nguyen Phu Thinh, General Director of the VSIP Joint Stock Company said that this is the fourth factory built in the expanded VSIP II. So far, the expanded VSIP II has absorbed 32 investment projects, 12 of which have been licensed with total investment capital of more than US$216mln. The expanded VSIP II has fulfilled its construction of infrastructure for the first phase and is hastening infrastructure construction for the second phase.
Also according to Mr.Thinh, the first module of the waster water treatment plant in the expanded VSIP II was also put into operation with capacity of 6.000 cu.m per day, ensuring businesses’demand for waste water treatment. The expanded VSIP II has also made a plan to build other many modules to raise the capacity of the waste water treatment plant.
