Work starts on new Tam Lap bridge

*Suoi Doi road, bridge work opens to traffic

Early April 28, Phu Giao district People’s Committee held a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Tam Lap bridge spanning the Be River that connects Phu Giao district’s Tam Lap commune and Tan Uyen district’s Tan Dinh commune.

The VND40bln-bridge is 166.5m long and 9m wide. Dai Viet Civil Engineering Construction Co.Ltd. in Dong Nai is the construction unit of the bridge which is expected to open to traffic in June 2011.

The same day, Ben Cat district held a ceremony to inaugurate the 8,162m-Suoi Doi road and bridge work in Lai Hung commune with a total cost of nearly VND43.4bln. Once operational, it will meet the local people’s traveling demand and contribute to promoting the local socio-economic development.
