Work starts on Singapore-standard social housing project in Binh Duong

Early March 9, Kim Oanh Land, member of Kim Oanh Group in Thu Dau Mot city’s Hoa Phu ward held a signing ceremony and groundbreaking event for the K-Home New City social housing project. The event was attended by Nguyen Van Loi, Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of provincial Party Committee, Head of provincial National Assembly Deputy Delegation; Nguyen Van Sinh, Deputy Minister of Construction; Nguyen Van Danh, Chairman of provincial Fatherland Front Committee; Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee; Nguyen Truong Nhat Phuong, Vice Chairwoman of provincial People's Council.

K-Home New City spans 26.69 hectares with total investment of over 5 trillion. Designed as Vietnam’s first Singapore-standard social housing urban area, the project follows high-quality construction standards set by Kim Oanh Land and its major development partners. It promises a well-planned, high-quality and affordable residential community, backed by favorable credit policies to help workers easily access homeownership. Provincial leaders emphasized that Binh Duong will continue facilitating policies, streamlining procedures and mobilizing resources to expand successful social housing models, making K-Home New City be the first green social housing project in the province.

Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Van Sinh stated that the project's groundbreaking ceremony reflects Binh Duong province’s commitment to developing social housing, addressing the housing needs of low-income laborers and those working for industrial park in the province. He expressed his hope that the province would further support and facilitate the project's next phases for smooth and rapid implementation in accordance with legal regulations. Additionally, he urged the project’s investor to prioritize resources and funding, apply new technologies and ensure the project's progress and quality as committed.

Speaking at the ceremony, Bui Minh Thanh, Vice Chairman of provincial People's Committee expressed confidence that with the strategic partnership between Kim Oanh Land and major development partners, the project will be a well-planned urban area, ensuring quality, progress and affordability, along with favorable credit policies to help workers easily access housing. He emphasized that Binh Duong province will continue creating favorable conditions in terms of policies and procedures, as well as mobilizing resources to expand effective social housing models.

On this occasion, Kim Oanh Group donated VND 10 billion to provincial Fatherland Front Committee to support the program of "Joining Hands to Eliminate Temporary and Dilapidated Houses". Additionally, another VND 10 billion was donated to provincial Red Cross Society to assist with the first installment payment for 50 workers purchasing social housing in the project.
